Ward Campout

Our ward had a campout for the last weekend of August.  We didn’t actually camp, but we went down on the Saturday afternoon and had fun in the slide they had set up.  A member of our ward had a big water truck that he brought down and the kids had a great time – so did some of the adults too!!
 
On Sunday afternoon, we went back down for our ward potluck.  There was a lot of people and lots of good food, and the kids had a great time!

Wally’s Beach

We enjoyed going out to Wally’s Beach this summer.  The sand is soft and the water isn’t too cold and is fairly shallow for quite a ways out.  We went a couple of times this summer and brought different friends with us both times.  The kids had a blast and I really enjoyed just sitting and watching them enjoy themselves.

It took a while to get all the sand out --- it was worth it though!

Hiking

Matt and Brendan enjoyed hiking up in Waterton today.  They had a good time as always!

 

Grace’s Birthday

Grace’s birthday was on the same day as our Webster Family Breakfast.  It seems like almost every year that Grace opens her gifts in the van because we are usually off doing something.  She is the only one in our family with a summer birthday, so she misses out on birthday parties sometimes, but this year, she was able to celebrate with most of her cousins and a lot of extended family.

Grace is starting band in Jr. High this fall, so she got a new saxophone for her birthday!  She was excited!

After the breakfast, we headed up to Waterton and hiked up Blakeston Falls.  It’s a nice little hike  and we had lots of good company with us too.

Later in the afternoon, we went back to Uncle Barry’s and he let the kids have turns riding the horses.  They were in heaven!

Webster Reunion

For as long as I can remember, my Grandma and Grandpa on my mom’s side of the family have had a breakfast up in Waterton on Labor Day weekend.  This tradition has kept going, though it was a week early this year.  With a large family, it is hard to get everybody’s schedules to work together, but there were 5 of the 8 kids here this year.
These are the great-grandchildren that were there, which is probably only just over half of them!  It was fun to reconnect with everybody!

We had a great day at the park, and I think I got some great shots of my kids.  Of course, Brendan wasn't there, he's been working quite a bit this summer.  So, I had to snag this self portrait Brendan took of himself.  It's hart to believe how fast they are all growing up!

Murray Family Campout

My family has started a tradition that every August we have a campout out at the Cardston Airport.  My dad has a hanger there for his airplanes and because it is not a super busy airport, we usually have the place to ourselves.  Mom and Dad bring out all the “toys” they have made for the kids to play with, and they all have so much fun!
