Moonlight Run

It has been a while since I have last posted and there is definitely a lot of catching up to do, but I thought I would just write a quite note about the run I did last night. Matt and I ran in the Moonlight Run last night for the 6km distance. I hadn't done much for training, and Matt had done even less, but we did our best. Matt came in at a time of 39min and my time was 42min. We ran together for the first half, but then the trail got a little small, and it was quite dark and we lost each other. I will definitely have to do some hill training for this run in the future. We started at the top of a very large hill, ran down it and around the running trails, and then had to finish by going back up this hill. It was probably just over 1km and the angle was about 45 degrees, so it was a BIG hill. It was great to get back out there and do another race though. I love the energy of a big crowd and the joy of accomplishing something worthwhile. I am signing up for an 8km in June and then for a 10km in August -- hopefully the training part gets a little better for the next ones!!
