Grace is 9!

 Grace turned nine years old this month.  It's hard to believe how grown up she is getting!

We made some fun cupcakes.

 And then I took Grace, Anna and Becky to Whoop-up Days and went on a few rides.  It was a fun night!

We had a huge family get-together later that week and we had such a great time with everybody.  Happy Birthday Grace!!

Murray Family Reunion

 We had such a fun fun family reunion this summer for our Murray Family. We spent the night out at the Cardston Airport at Mom and Dad's hanger. Mom and Dad had brought out the little jeep and the barrel cars they had made, and even hung a swing from the hanger door. The kids had such a blast. My only wish was that it would have lasted longer.

Another Hike in Waterton

 Roger, Cub, Dave and Matt went on a really really really long hike up in Waterton.  They were gone ALL DAY!!  They really did have a great time though.  Dave took a bit of a tumble and ended up with a few stitches in his wrist, but Cub helped patch him up until he could get to the hospital.

   There was still quite a bit of snow left up in the mountains!

Fairy Furniture

Our girls have had such a fun time this summer out in our backyard.  They watched a show earlier this summer about fairies, and since then they have spent HOURS making fairy forts, and using their imaginations to their fullest extent.  Matt thought he would get in on the fun and made them a "fairy chair" which "magically appeared" one morning.  The girls were even more convinced that fairies truly do exist.  I have such a fun husband, and I love how he always gets involved with whatever his kids are doing and makes it fun for them!

The Calgary Zoo

We took the kids to the Calgary Zoo and they all had a blast! It had been a long time since I had been there -- probably since I was a little kid. I was a little taken aback at their admission prices, but we made the most of it and were there for over 5 hours. We all had a great time.

Hiking in Waterton

We feel very blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the country. Matt and Brendan had a great day hiking up in Waterton!

Hatch Family Reunion

We travelled to Cherry Grove this summer to attend a family reunion for the Hatch/Hillaby family. There weren't too many people there, but the kids still had a great time.

 

Not sure why Brendan felt the need to have his face painted with chalk.....

 

We were so glad that Cold Lake had all these fun festivities going on -- the kids eagerly joined in!

Poor Sarah didn't have too much luck with the mosquito's this weekend!

They were showing some old pictures from previous family reunions. This was taken in 1994. Matt had just won first prize for the best costume....... I'm really glad that doesn't occur very often!!
