All the furniture has held up remarkably well, but the coffee table got a lot of attention from my kids. It has been colored on, pounded on, eaten on, jumped off, etc, etc, etc. I decided it was time to give it a bit of a makeover, so Brendan and I sanded it down and then I bought a darker stain and my mom refinished it for me. An added bonus, was that my mom made me an end table for Christmas that matches the coffee table and they both look amazing!
I had purchased some vinyl from a friend a couple of weeks ago and got the chance to put that up last night. I absolutely LOVE it!! Then, I was able to find some lamps on Kijiji and I just love how it ties everything together.
The only thing I want to do now, is add some throw cushions on the couch. I am trying to find some red ones, but I haven't found quite the right color yet, so I might just end up making some. I love my front room, and I am trying very hard to keep it that way. The kids tend to destroy just about anything that comes within their sight, but I have put the "fear of mom" into their little hearts, and I hope it lasts ...... for a little while anyway!!

Wow! love love love it. Aren't dark, wipeable couches just the best?!?! The photo wall looks so good there and that vinyl is so great. The table looks brand new......I love giving new life to furniture.
